Kojo films started as a film production company, so we know how to tell a story and make it look great in the process. Our cinematographers work on feature films, commercials and documentaries, so they know visual storytelling in a way that many wedding studios do not. How would you describe your style?

We focus on authentic, intimate storytelling. We like to focus on your journey as a couple and edit together a film that feels like a documentary of your love story as opposed to a collection of staged shots. We go above and beyond what is typically offered for a wedding film, incorporating love story interviews and couple sessions to bring your wedding story full circle. We don’t just make a film that you will want to watch once and forget about, we create you a family heirloom which will be passed down for generations to come.

What are custom disks?

When your wedding film is completed, we don’t just send you an mp4 and call it a day. We package your wedding film in a custom blu-ray disk, complete with a custom story book of your love. Packaged and sealed with custom artwork just for you, this piece of physical media is something you can treasure for a lifetime. Want to order extra copies for friends and family? Do you travel for weddings?

Yes! We are based in NYC/Long Island, but we are available worldwide. Whether it be in the Arizona desert of the Almafi Coast, we would love to be a part of your story. Travel costs depend on distance and accommodation, which we will discuss during your consultation.

What’s the typical delivery time for a wedding film?

The typical delivery time for a wedding film is 120 days. You will receive the short film within 3 weeks of your wedding date. We also offer an express option if you prefer a quicker turnaround, where we will have your wedding film completed within 45 days after the wedding.

What are love story interviews & couple shoots?

We believe that simply filming coverage of a wedding is not enough to tell a couple’s story. That’s why we like to hear from couple’s themselves the journey of their love. We schedule two separate sessions with you where you can step away from the hustle and bustle of your wedding day, and focus on what really matters: your love for each other. The first session is an interview session where we get to hear the story of your love told from each of your perspectives. The second is a couple session where we get to spend some time with you in a beautiful location and have fun together capturing your romance. Together, along with archival photos and videos, these two shoots will be infused with your wedding footage to tell a complete story, one which you can always look back on and remember how you felt at this time in your life.

Do you make engagement films?

Yes! We find that the love story interviews and couple shoots cut together into a beautiful engagement film which you can use for save-the-date announcements, wedding websites, or social media.

How far in advance should we book?

We only take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure every couple gets our full attention. We recommend booking 6-12 months in advance, especially for peak dates.

Do you require a deposit?

Typically we require a 50% deposit in order to secure your date. However, if you wish to pay in installments, we are happy to create a payment plan that works for you and keeps things stress-free.

How can I book?

We make booking simple. First, reach out via our contact form or email to see if your date is open. We will then schedule a consultation where we can chat about your vision and style, and also learn a little bit about you as a couple. Once you’re ready to book, we’ll send you a contract and request a deposit to reserve your wedding. We will then schedule your interview & couple shoots and coordinate shots and timelines with you to ensure that the process is smooth, stress-free, and leaves you with an unforgettable wedding film.
